Jaime José Cayetano Conill Hostench was born May 14, 1841 in Olot, Catalonia and immigrated to the Dominican Republic. His parents were Jaime Joan Francisco Conill Capdevila and Cayetana Magdalena Sabina Hostench. Jaime (or his brother) married in Catalonia to Catalina Josefa Eudalda Sala Plana and had three children. Jaime then appears marrying Ramona Fernández Tavares, daughter of Pedro Fernández and Isabel Tavares López in 1871. She died soon after this as he married Altagracia Estrella Gómez, the daughter of Manuel de Jesús Estrella and Trinidad Gómez, in 1872. This union produced two sons: José Dolores and Erasmo Conill Estrella.

José Dolores Conill Estrella and his brother while born in Matanzas eventually made their way to La Vega where they both died. Their descendants returned to Santiago.
